NHDP Calls on NH GOP to Join in Demanding Disgraced State Rep Tremblay Resign

Concord - Republican State Representative Stella Tremblay has refused to apologize for her shockingly inappropriate and vile claim that the tragic bombings at the Boston Marathon last week were "attacks by our own Government." Instead she has doubled down on the appalling comments.  New Hampshire Democratic Party Communication Director Harrell Kirstein release the following statement, calling on New Hampshire Republicans to join demands she resign from office immediately.

"Instead of apologizing for her vile and chilling claims, Representative Tremblay has doubled down and continues to make offensive extremist comments about last week's tragedy at the Boston Marathon.  It is past time for U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte, Majority Leader Jeb Bradley, and House Republican Leader Gene Chandler to end the epidemic of shockingly inappropriate behavior by members of the New Hampshire Republican Party and demand Representative Tremblay resign.  She is no longer fit to serve in elected office.

"Even for the New Hampshire Republican Party, which has become synonymous with the Tea Party and radical extremism, Representative Tremblay's claims are a new low.  She is an embarrassment to the New Hampshire House of Representatives, to her constituents, and to the entire State.  Ayotte, Bradley, Chandler and all New Hampshire Republicans should take responsibility for their colleague and demand her resignation from the New Hampshire House of Representatives immediately."
