Volunteers needed in the Upper Valley 
Due to severe flood damage in the Lebanon area, volunteers are needed to help with the cleanup effort. Upper Valley Strong in handling the coordination of volunteers for this mission.  Upper Valley Strong also has an online registration form that you should fill out if you are looking to help out.  You can find it here: www.uvstrong.org 


God, Grip Our Hearts

The Senate has passed its version of the comprehensive immigration reform bill. Now we turn to the House of Representatives to see what action it will take--contact your rep's office. We pray that God will grip the hearts of our representatives and bring both parties together to pass immigration reform legislation that will benefit struggling families in our nation. Read more.

American Friends Service Committee Dinner 

     Mark your calendar for the AFSC Annual Fundraising Dinner, Saturday evening, September 14, 2013 at the Concord Unitarian Universalist Church, featuring David Bacon as guest speaker.

     The event will kick off David's East Coast tour launching his new book, The Right to Stay Home: How US Policy Drives Mexican Migration, published by Beacon Press.  At a time when the hottest debate in Washington is over immigration and the President is negotiating two new, massive "free trade" agreements, this talk couldn't be timelier.
