2013 Silver Oak Jumper Tournament
Big Weekend of Show Jumping Heading to New Hampshire
We would like to invite you to meet some of the horses and athletes in advance of the upcoming Silver Oak Jumper Tournament
The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament is set to return to Hampton Falls, August 7-11, 2013. This is an olympic caliber event. Spectators can expect world-class competition and exciting entertainment in Hampton Falls. This event attracts thousands of people and offers a rare opportunity to watch first-hand the Olympic Sport of Show Jumping at it’s highest level with olympic athletes. This year’s show will include United States Olympians, Anne Kursinski and Leslie Howard. Competitions of this magnitude with this many of the world’s top athletes are rare.
Focusing strictly on jumpers, the event offers divisions for children, adults, masters, juniors and amateurs (both high and low), plus a world-class international open jumper division. "This is a great opportunity to watch Olympic athletes in action," said Silver Oak Jumper Tournament Chair, Jeff Papows. "Families will be inspired watching these incredible athletes compete."
This year’s track or courses as they are called in the sport are being developed by Olaf Petersen, Jr., one of the most respected course designers in the world.
The horse show benefits the Children's Wish Foundation International, which helps make the wishes of unfortunate children fighting serious illness a reality.
The event is expected to attract between 12-14-thousand people to the area and boost 5-7 million dollars into the area’s economy.
