Do you have concerns about Common Core educational standards and the impact they will have on your children?
Then please plan to join us for a Common Core forum on Tuesday, September 17 at 7PM.
We are pleased to join with Cornerstone Policy Research to host this forum that will address what Common Core means for students and parents in our state.
The forum will take place on Tuesday at 7PM at St. Anselm’s Institute of Politics and is FREE to the public.
We understand that many of you have serious questions about how these changes will impact the quality of education your children receive and what they will be learning in the classroom.
We have assembled a team of national experts to tackle these questions as well as concerns over how these standards will affect both local control and education choice.
The FREE forum will include national experts, including: Sandra Stotsky, a former professor of education reform at the University of Arkansas, who served on a national Common Core committee; Jamie Gass, who serves as the Pioneer Institute’s Director of the Center for School Reform; Emmett McGroarty, from the American Principles Project and an expert on Common Core standards; and Bill Evers, a research fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and a member of the Institution’s Koret Task Force on K–12 Education, who was the US assistant secretary of education for policy from 2007 to 2009.
If you have questions about Common Core, please join us at our Common Core forum on Tuesday, September 17 at 7PM at St. Anselm’s Institute of Politics.
I hope you can attend what promises to be an educational night about changes to our education system.
