It’s been more than a year since the terrorist attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, but still none of the attackers have been brought to justice for this heinous act that took the lives of four Americans, including a U.S. ambassador.
You may have seen that a new report released this week by the Senate Intelligence Committee confirms that Al Qaeda affiliates were involved in the Benghazi attack- contradicting both the Obama Administration's response immediately following the attack and a recent New York Times story that supported the Administration's narrative. The report also found that despite ample warnings from the intelligence community, the State Department failed to take steps to protect American personnel in Benghazi.
Most disturbing of all is the fact that the Administration has failed to find and capture the perpetrators who are responsible for the murder of four American citizens.
That's unacceptable, and I took to the Senate floor this week to call for the Administration to hunt down the attackers- click here to read more about my comments.
Please know I will continue the fight to ensure that the terrorists who carried out this attack are held accountable -- and that the families of those who were killed get the justice they deserve.
