Brown For US Senate - ICYMI: SCOTT BROWN ON EBOLA: THE TIME FOR A TRAVEL BAN IS NOW

I believe that we should absolutely have a travel ban, because the time to do it is right now in its infancy, not a month from now when it could potentially be in a different stage.” - Scott Brown

Scott Brown: I think we need to step back.  Remember the President said that it will not come to our country and we will stop it and we will eradicate it.  I and others were hopeful that he was right.  The problem is that he is not right.  It is here, it is something that is very serious. You have the surrounding countries actually to where the epidemic is actually taking place have a successful travel ban, yet I believe we are being too politically correct by not putting in place a travel ban and that is a distinction between Senator Shaheen and me. I believe that we should absolutely have a travel ban, because the time to do it is right now in its infancy, not a month from now when it could potentially be in a different stage.  And here's a caveat that I think is important for everyone to understand: I want the President to be successful.  I think as Americans we all want him to be successful. I am hopeful that he will lay out a plan.  He said he was going to stop it.  Then we find out that the CDC folks have said this may be like an AIDS epidemic, we have to be very careful.  Now we find it is spreading not only one death but two have been infected.  So I want him to be successful I want him to tell us what to do. I want him to tell us what they are doing, come up with a protocol.  I even sent a letter to Governor Hassan asking her to inform us here in Hew Hampshire what the plan is.  Are the hospital and first responders and other personnel up to speed? Do they have the tools and resources they need in the event of any type of infection coming to our state.

Host: But this is the time to take action, right now?

Scott Brown: Senator Shaheen is one again rubber-stamping the President's policy when it comes to not putting in place a travel ban and I think it is dangerous.
