  • Among Baker’s first chores: crafting a state budget: One of Governor-elect Charlie Baker’s toughest tasks will be among his very first. The state budget may well be the biggest, most far-reaching piece of legislation passed each year — and he will have just three months to get it done. Evan Horowitz reports.
  • Election night fallout extends beyond Baker, Coakley: The most obvious winner and loser in Tuesday’s marquee election were the two leading candidates for governor. But there were plenty of others — on Beacon Hill and beyond — for whom the election had big consequences. Frank Phillips reports.
