Eddie Edwards to serve as Director of Community Relations for Guinta
Today, Congressman-Elect Frank Guinta announced that Eddie Edwards, most recently the Police Chief for South Hampton, will join his federal staff as the Director of Community Relations.
In 2014, Eddie Edwards was the Republican nominee for State Senate District 4, which includes Barrington, Dover, Somersworth and Rollinsford. Prior to that, Mr. Edwards served in law enforcement for 24 years in various capacities including as Director of the New Hampshire State Liquor Enforcement Division.
As Director of Community Relations, Mr. Edwards will be responsible for public outreach and community planning for Congressman Guinta. Specific areas of responsibilities include small business outreach, work with regional nonprofit agencies, and serving as the point person for Homeland Security related matters. Mr. Edwards will also use his law enforcement background to develop a solid line of communication between Congressman Guinta and all levels of law enforcement.
Frank Guinta released the following statement:
"Eddie is a dear friend and a committed public servant. His time in law enforcement, state government, and service on numerous boards and legislative commissions have shown him to be a thoughtful, intelligent and articulate advocate and policy maker. His knowledge of New Hampshire and his personal relationships in the public and private sector will be invaluable to my office as we seek to serve New Hampshire's First Congressional District."
