NHGOP Banner

Concord - Politico today reports that a Washington-based, radical environmental special interest group is set to launch television ads in New Hampshire on Senator Shaheen's behalf. The League of Conservation voters, an extremist organization dedicated to opposing commonsense energy solutions like the Keystone Pipeline, will run $220,000 in negative advertising in the Granite State.

"It isn't surprising that out-of-state, extremist environmental organizations are trying to prop up Senator Jeanne Shaheen's flailing reelection campaign with attack ads. Sen. Shaheen has a long history of standing with the liberal special interest groups that bankroll her campaigns instead of standing up for New Hampshire ratepayers. She has blindly supported President Barack Obama's destructive agenda 99% of the time, voted to block the Keystone Pipeline and impose cap and trade legislation that would raise energy prices," said NHGOP Chairman Jennifer Horn. "Radical environmental groups know that Jeanne Shaheen is a reliable vote to rubber stamp their devastating energy policies that will hurt consumers, kill jobs and damage small businesses. That's why its important to replace her in November with an independent minded Republican who will refuse to take orders from Washington special interests."
