NHDP Statement on Special Interest Candidate Scott Brown Officially “Exploring” NH

NHDP Also Releases New Video Highlighting Brown's Devotion to Massachusetts
Concord, NH—New Hampshire Democratic Party Communications Director Harrell Kirstein released the following statement after Scott Brown announced he is forming an exploratory committee after 11 months of flirting with a Senate race in New Hampshire:

“Scott Brown is for Scott Brown and the Wall Street and Big Oil millionaires that back him, not New Hampshire. If he manages to survive a Republican primary against Republicans who are actually from New Hampshire, he’ll have an even tougher general election against Jeanne Shaheen whose common sense leadership makes a difference for New Hampshire.  New Hampshire isn’t going to let Scott Brown and his special interest supporters buy themselves a Senate seat to push reckless plans to privatize Social Security, end Medicare's guaranteed benefit for seniors, and raise taxes on middle class families to pay for more tax breaks for big corporations, oil companies and millionaires."

Earlier today the New Hampshire Democratic Party also released a new video highlighting Brown's devotion Massachusetts.

Brown’s announcement comes just hours after Karl Rove’s Super PAC poured another $650,000 of dark money into the New Hampshire Senate race to support his campaign.  In total, out of state billionaires have now spent more than $1.5 million on attacks to support Brown and their reckless agenda - privatizing Social Security, ending Medicare's guaranteed benefit for seniors and raising taxes on middle class families to pay for more tax breaks for big corporations, oil companies and millionaires. So far this cycle, Republican groups have outspent Democrats by more than three-to-one.
