Concord - The New Hampshire Republican State Committee today called on Senator Shaheen, Governor Hassan and Representatives Kuster and Shea-Porter to appear with Vice President Joe Biden during his upcoming trip to New Hampshire. Biden will visit Nashua on Tuesday, March 25th.
"Senator Shaheen, Governor Hassan and Representatives Kuster and Shea-Porter have all been enthusiastic backers of the failed Obama-Biden agenda that has hurt New Hampshire families. They should use the vice president's trip as an opportunity to appear with him and personally defend their unwavering support for ObamaCare, the president's job killing tax increases and his radical policies that will increase the cost of energy for the middle class," said NHGOP Chairman Jennifer Horn. "In Washington, Jeanne Shaheen blindly takes orders from her party leadership and votes with President Obama and Vice President Biden 99 percent of the time. She should embrace the vice president while he is in Nashua because she is nothing more than a rubber stamp for the Obama-Biden Administration."
Embattled Senator Jeanne Shaheen has refused to say if she would welcome President Obama and Vice President Biden to the Granite State to campaign with her (WMUR, 3/20/14.)
This month, Governor Hassan skipped President Obama's trip to New England that was attended by every other northeast Democrat governor (Union Leader, 3/5/14.)
According to a recent UNH poll 51% of New Hampshire adults disapprove of the job Obama is doing as president and only 42% approve
