NH House Republican Alliance: Statement on HB1360 Bans Cellphones While Driving

The House Republican Alliance released a statement today on the passage of HB1360-A, a bill that would ban use of hand held devices while driving and prohibit any use of cell phones while driving for citizens under the age of 18.

"This bill is a strong overreach of government into our private lives.  Distracted driving, including texting while driving, has been in the law for years. Forbidding drivers to call home - or set their GPS - while stopped in traffic is a ridiculous intrusion into our private lives," stated Rep. Mark Warden- Goffstown.
