Plymouth - Foreigner's original Frontman, Lou Gramm to rock the Monkey on 4/19

Juke Box Hero Lou Gramm comes to The Flying Monkey

Plymouth, NH.  At 7:30pm on Saturday, April 19th, The Flying Monkey presents an evening of Foreigner music with former frontman Lou Gramm.  Lou Gramm has garnered critical and fan praise for writing and performing some of the rock’s biggest hits both with Foreigner and with his own band.  Fan favorite Charlie Farren will open the night.  Tickets for Lou Gramm start at $59.

Lou Gramm rightly bills himself as the voice of Foreigner, having contributed his impassioned vocals to hits such as, “I Want to Know What Love Is,” “Urgent,” “Hot Blooded” and “Cold as Ice,” and many more.

For legal reasons, however, Gramm can’t tour under the band’s name. Foreigner is controlled by founder Mick Jones, who has assembled a roster of replacement musicians but is rarely part of the touring lineup these days because of his poor health.

Gramm was the lead vocalist on all of Foreigner's hit songs, including "Feels Like the First Time", "Cold as Ice", "Long, Long Way from Home", "Hot Blooded", "Double Vision", "Blue Morning, Blue Day", "Head Games", "Dirty White Boy", "Urgent", "Juke Box Hero", "Break It Up" and "Say You Will". He co-wrote most of the songs for the band, which achieved two of its biggest hits with the ballads "Waiting for a Girl Like You", and "I Want to Know What Love Is", which was a #1 hit internationally in 85’. The latter was credited only to Jones; however, Gramm indicated that he contributed to half of its writing.  Gramm’s solo hits include songs like “Midnight Blue” and “Just Between You and Me.”

Expect an evening that will catapult fans back to Foreigner’s heyday with a remarkable show including all the hits- performed with the intensity and passionate voice that made them famous in the first place.

Tickets for Lou Gramm are on sale now for $59, and $69 for Premier seats. For tickets and more information on concerts and the Flying Monkey Performance Center, visit www.flyingmonkeynh.com or call 603-536-2551.
