MANCHESTER – Today, Scott Brown renewed his call for U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki to step aside in response to delays in medical care that resulted in 40 patient deaths at a VA Hospital in Phoenix:
“Nothing in Secretary Shinseki's testimony today before Congress has changed my opinion that he should step aside and allow new leadership at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. I think it's fair to ask: how many veteran deaths does it take for someone to lose their job? We don't need another government commission. We don't need more excuses. This is not the time for business as usual. We need to clean house, starting at the top."
