SALEM, NH – Marilinda Garcia, Republican candidate for New Hampshire’s Second Congressional District, released the following statement applauding Senator Kelly Ayotte for her efforts to protect online retailers from potential efforts that would impose new tax collection and audit requirements onto new Hampshire taxpayers and online entrepreneurs.
“I commend Senator Kelly Ayotte for leading the fight to protect online business in New Hampshire and throughout America. An online sales tax would force new tax collections and audit requirements on the people and online retailers of America, and would unfairly victimize small businesses and the middle-class. Like Senator Ayotte, I strongly oppose any new tax, and am a firm believer in limited government, minimal taxation, and equal economic opportunity. I look forward to working alongside Senator Ayotte in Congress and joining her effort to protect New Hampshire from this onerous tax,” said Garcia.
