We continued our endorsement run with our 11th straight week, adding 25 more elected officials, town and city leaders and Republican activists. Additionally, we were honored to release former NHGOP Chairman Wayne MacDonald, bringing the grand total to 276 endorsements thus far. All their expertise and deep ties to the Granite State will help guide Team Guinta to victory in the fall. You can see the most recent release here!
Our weekly video segment had us sitting down with longtime Republican leader, Win Hutchinson. Win brings a wealth of knowledge and know-how to Team Guinta. He will prove to be an asset to our efforts in the Queen City this year. See what Win had to say below.
Last week brought us to the Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce. We discussed many of the issues plaguing not only greater Portsmouth and New Hampshire, but the critical state of our Nation’s affairs, and the need for accountable, conservative leadership in Washington.
It was great to attend the Seacoast Republican Women’s Spring Luncheon last Friday. The SRW packed 100 plus guests into the Portsmouth Country Club to hear Dr. Betsy McCaughey, author of Beating Obamacare 2014. She discussed the crippling effects of ObamCare and emphasized how the ACA is lowering our standard of care, while sticking our seniors, employers and youth with the bill. See the full write up in the Seacoast Online here!
Friday night I returned to the Seacoast, attending the Rockingham County Freedom Founders Dinner, with keynote speaker Sen. Marco Rubio. Joined by so many friends and supporters, Sen. Rubio fired up the crowd for the campaign season ahead. It’s clear that New Hampshire Republicans and independents alike are ready for change in Washington. I am honored and energized, to be a part of that change.
We kicked off the weekend by meeting with the Hillsborough County Republican Committee. Special thanks to all those who came out early on a Saturday morning to join in the discussion. From Bedford, the team traveled to the Manchester Republican Committee Cake Auction and Candidate Forum. It’s always a pleasure meeting with such active Republicans in my home city.
Team Guinta announced that we will be embarking on a new Middle-Class Economic Recovery Tour focusing on several geographic and industry specific issues. These include; the Great Bay Estuary, manufacturing, tourism, small businesses in the North Country and job training. You can find the release on the tour here!
We kicked off the Tour on Monday with a visit to the Rochester Waste Water Treatment Plant. While in Congress, I convened an oversight hearing in Exeter to work on behalf of the Great Bay Coalition to halt the EPA from issuing a strict nitrogen permit, which would have devastated the local community. Having written legislation requiring a peer review of the science used to make this determination, I was happy to see a recent review of the science dismiss the previous study and determine no linkage between nitrogen impairment and eelgrass impairment. Thursday I sat down to film the latest segment of CloseUp, with WMUR’s Josh McElveen. We had a good conversation discussing my stances on various issues like ObamaCare and the economy while also looking at what we have done thus far in 2014. Tune in to channel 9 Sunday morning at 10:00AM to watch the full interview.
We hope to see you out on the trail!
