Shaheen's 1 for 67 Record of Passing Sponsored Bills is Abysmal
Concord - The New Hampshire Republican State Committee today released a new Buzzfeed community post on Senator Jeanne Shaheen's failed legislative record. During her unaccomplished term in the senate, Shaheen has only been able to pass 1 of the 67 bills that she has sponsored even though her party controls the Senate and the White House. That bill renamed an air traffic control tower in Nashua and only passed by accident.
"Jeanne Shaheen's unaccomplished term in the United States Senate has been marked by one legislative failure after another. After watching 66 of 67 of her sponsored bills die because of her ineffective leadership and rigid partisanship, Shaheen has become so desperate that she is blaming others for her abysmal record," said NHGOP Chairman Jennifer Horn. "Jeanne Shaheen doesn't have a single legislative accomplishment to run on as she seeks reelection. Granite Staters expect their elected officials in Washington to get things done for New Hampshire and they are eager to replace Shaheen in November with an effective Republican senator."
The State Committee's post highlights the fact that Shaheen's abysmal record lags behind notable failures and well known perennial losers. Examples include the 1-15 1990 New England Patriots and soap opera star Susan Lucci, who only won a single Daytime Emmy despite 21 nominations.
