Manchester, NH - Dan Innis, Republican candidate for Congress in NH-01, released the following statement today.

"A year ago House Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Jeff Miller (R-FL) sent a letter to President Obama requesting President Obama's leadership to address 'serious and significant patient care issues at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMCs) across the country.' The President did nothing.

A month ago we learned that patients died while waiting for care at a VA Phoenix hospital. The President said he was "mad as hell", but still did nothing.

It's past time for Gen. Shinseki to resign. President Obama should fire him. And the President should immediately start working with Congress to ensure that all veterans in every state are receiving the care that they need and deserve."
