Brown For US Senate - ICYMI: NH TODAY: BROWN ON VA SCANDAL: “THIS IS THE TIME FOR SENATOR SHAHEEN TO BREAK WITH OBAMA TO SUPPORT OUR VETERANS ”

Manchester- This morning on WGIR’s New Hampshire Today with Jack Heath, Scott Brown renewed his call for Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki to resign in response to delays in medical care that resulted in 40 patient deaths at a VA Hospital in Phoenix.

"This is a perfect example where I believe the President is wrong and quite honestly we know Senator Shaheen has supported the President 99 percent of the time. Well, maybe this is the one percent of the time that she should say you know what, we've got to stick up for our veterans." said Brown.

According to reports, Senator Shaheen has declined to call for Secretary Shinseki's firing until the VA investigation is complete.

JACK HEATH: Do you think the head of the VA should resign?

SCOTT BROWN: I called for that, gosh, I think a couple of weeks ago. I think I was one of the first folks to do actually that because we need to have, the President’s wrong on this, we need to have a total house clearing.

I’ve been advocating for two years, I’ve held hearings on that I was member of the Veterans committee, Armed Services, obviously someone whose served for 35 years.

Recognized the issues, we would actually have field hearings and we would put the VA in touch with soldier directly and have little mini workshops to get them done, but I demanded action back then because we are learning hospital after hospital is having problems with staff covering things up,

And this is a perfect example where I believe the President is wrong and quite honestly we know Senator Shaheen has supported the President 99 percent of the time.

Well, maybe this is the one percent of the time that she should say you know what, we've got to stick up for our veterans, and, another example, the House passed a good reform bill, and what’s it doing: it’s sitting on Harry Reid’s desk once again like every other important piece of legislation.
