Ad Claims He Wants “Annual Raises” And "Decent Pay" - But Brown Still Stands Against Raising Minimum Wage
Concord, NH— Today, Brown launched his second negative ad, which insults New Hampshire's working families by hoping they won't recall his opposition to increasing the minimum wage. Brown specifically says he supports "decent pay" and "annual raises," despite the fact that he opposes giving 110,000 people in New Hampshire a much needed raise by increasing the minimum wage to $10.10.
“Scott Brown’s phoniness continues to reach new levels with each passing day,” said New Hampshire Democratic Party Communications Director Julie McClain. “Brown can't declare he wants ‘decent pay’ and 'annual raises' while he continues to oppose a raise in the minimum wage. If Scott Brown actually cared about jobs with decent pay, he would stand with working families and demand an increase in the minimum wage to $10.10. This ad doesn’t pass the smell test.”
Appearing on Fox News, Brown attacked Senators for supporting an increase in the minimum wage, saying it was "part of the problem with the government right now."
