MANCHESTER – Today, Scott Brown released the following statement in response to the news that the U.S. economy shrank for the first time in three years in the first quarter of 2014:
"The fact the U.S. economy shrank by one percent in the first quarter is unwelcome news for those of us concerned about creating more good jobs. Washington needs to stop putting impediments in the way of job creators. I'm especially concerned about the impact the Obamacare employer mandate will have on jobs when it takes effect in January, 2015. We need to do everything we can to create a business-friendly environment that will lead to more jobs. Right now Washington is an obstacle to job growth."
