AFP - How do you feel about corporate welfare?

Want to help us end corporate welfare?

Americans for Prosperity is launching a new nationwide campaign to end one of the worst examples of corporate welfare we've ever seen, and I'd like for you to be a part of it!

You may not be familiar with the Export-Import (Ex-Im) Bank, but you should be since it's funded by YOUR hard-earned tax dollars.

>> "I've never heard of the Export-Import Bank. What is it?"

We'll be referring to the Export-Import bank as the Beltway Billionaires' Bank -- it's plain, old corporate welfare. The Export-Import Bank provides taxpayer-backed loans to foreign companies to pick and choose winners in the marketplace.

The Export-Import Bank was established back in the 1930s to lend money to foreign companies so they could buy American-made products. But the vast majority of money doled out by the Ex-Im Bank has ended up going to large, politically-connected, global corporations that shouldn't be propped up with taxpayer dollars.

>> "Where do these loans come from?"

>> "Why should Congress let the Export-Import Bank expire, instead of reauthorizing it?"

The Export-Import Bank is just another outrageous example of wasteful government spending. Instead of letting the free market do its job, the Ex-Im bank lets your elected officials in Washington pick who wins and loses in the economy.

This is exactly the type of corporate welfare that any free market advocate should strongly oppose.

Let's work together to put an end to corporate welfare and the Beltway Billionaires' Bank:

We'll be following up with more ways for you to take action and help us put an end to this terrible example of corporate welfare, so stay tuned!

Thanks for standing with us,
