PORTSMOUTH- As part of the Brown campaign’s ongoing “Serving New Hampshire Together,” Gail Huff Brown toured Cross Roads House to spotlight volunteerism and highlight the important work done by charitable organizations across the state. Cross Roads House is a Seacoast based shelter that assists homeless individuals and families and provides both emergency and transitionalshelter programs.
“Cross Roads House is doing a remarkable job lending a hand to Granite Staters in need,” said Huff. “I appreciate the opportunity to learn more about their important programs and resources that have helped so many get back on their feet during tough times, and applaud the hard work of the devoted staff and volunteers.”
Cross Roads House is a nonprofit agency that has been providing emergency shelter assistance to New Hampshire residents since it opened its doors in 1982. They offer food, shelter, and guidance to help homeless individuals and families return to permanent housing. Cross Roads provides case managers to all shelter residents along with connections to a multitude of other local agencies who provide supportive services.
“It’s a privilege to welcome Gail Huff to Cross Roads House today to witness the great work being done here to make a difference for the homeless clientele we serve,” said Martha Stone, Executive Director of Cross Roads House. “Our mission to assist families and individuals in need would not be possible without the support of our volunteers and donors.”
