It's official!
On Friday, with my family and supporters looking on, I filed my candidacy for US House at the Secretary of State's office. I will compete against Frank Guinta for the Republican nomination for Congress in September's primary.

When I first announced my campaign last fall I pledged to focus on the issues that voters care about. Over the last several months I have outlined specific solutions to:

Reform our health care system.

Create jobs.

Balance the federal budget.

Protect our privacy.

I'm seeking the Republican nomination for Congress to give voters a choice. I believe that the GOP should stand for limited, responsible government. And yet my opponent for the nomination, Frank Guinta, has routinely supported unlimited, unaccountable government. The choice is clear.

The federal government has to be put in its place. It's racking up trillions in new debt, the NSA is spying on average citizens while the IRS is on a political witch hunt. Congress is dysfunctional, and the President continues to fail at showing leadership. Government interference is making it harder and harder for small businesses and families to achieve the American Dream.

It's painfully clear we need some new blood and fresh ideas in DC to shake things up.

But I need your help to do it!
