DOVER - Today, Gail Huff Brown toured the Community Action Partnership (CAP), a nonprofit organization in Dover, as part of the ongoing "Serving New Hampshire Together" tour. CAP offers programs, ranging from employment training to fuel assistance, to New Hampshire families in need.
“CAP is one of many organizations offering critical resources to individuals and families in need, and I applaud the hard work of their staff and volunteers who continue to make a huge difference in our communities," said Huff. "I appreciate this opportunity to learn more about their programs and encourage fellow Granite Staters to reach out and get involved--because every little bit helps."
CAP has multiple partner agencies throughout New Hampshire on a mission to eliminate poverty by educating and assisting local residents. During the tour, Huff learned more about some of their programs including the food panty and upcoming summer program to provide nourishment for children. CAP also offers support through the Electrical and Fuel Assistance Programs to households that qualify for the Low Income Home Energy Program (LIHEAP).
“We appreciate Gail visiting us today to hear more about the dynamic programs and volunteer opportunities available in the area,” said Executive Director Betsey Andrews Parker. "CAP is proud to lend a hand to those in need and will keeping working hard to offer assistance to thousands of families in children in the area going through difficult times. Together, we are making a difference one day at a time."
