SALEM - New Hampshire State Representative Joe Sweeney (R-Salem) endorsed Scott Brown today at the Barking Bean Café among a group of local supporters. Rep. Sweeney represents Rockingham District 8 and was elected in 2012 as New Hampshire’s youngest state legislator. He serves on the Election Law Committee and is the University of New Hampshire Student Body President.
“Scott Brown is a problem solver and good listener who will break through Washington gridlock and fight to restore New Hampshire principles,” said Sweeney. “As a college student, I applaud his efforts to introduce commonsense proposals to get at the root of the problems in our education system during his 'Making Higher Education Work' tour. Young people are struggling to break through bureaucracy and red tape while applying for financial aid, and we want to elect a senator who will fight to streamline this process and pave the way for better job opportunities. I am proud to stand with Scott as we continue to unite our party and hold Senator Shaheen accountable for her broken promises this fall.”
“Joe continues to set a great example for our young people and communities, and I applaud his determination to make a difference for Salem," said Brown. "Senator Shaheen’s worst nightmare is a united Republican party, and we will keep working hard every day to spread our message of smaller government and restored individuals freedoms to make New Hampshire a better place for our hardworking families.”
