CONCORD - Earlier today, Scott Brown formally filed his candidacy for U.S. Senate at the New Hampshire State House.
"I'm running for the United States Senate because I care about New Hampshire. We take our freedoms seriously, but right now they are being threatened by a growing federal government that is involving itself in every aspect of our lives -- burdening us with debt that can never be repaid, raising taxes without regard for the impact on our pocketbooks and forcing on us a health care plan that doesn't work. I want strong communities with thriving families, where employers are adding jobs, taxes are low and the government doesn't spend more than it takes in. I want to return to the states the power to decide their own health care future. I want to put the people of New Hampshire back in charge of their own lives."
