Guinta For Congress - On the Trail with Team Guinta

From Frank's Desk

This past week we were proud to release our 14th consecutive list of endorsements. We have now filled every single town in the District with a Team Leader, and have recorded more than 400 endorsements from around the District. Thank you for all you’ve done to make this a successful grassroot effort! Take a look at the full release here!

To kick off the Middle-Class Economic Recovery Tour’s swing north, we held a Meet and Greet with State Senator Jeanie Forrester on Sunday. We had a terrific conversation with the Republicans, Democrats and Independents who had come to meet with us. We discussed our economic tour, health care concerns and more.

Sunday afternoon Team Guinta joined dozens of fellow Republicans and many of this years candidates for office at the Fred Tausch Lobsterbake. It was great to enjoy the warm weather with so many activists ready for victory in 2014!

On Monday, I appeared on New Hampshire Today with Jack Heath to discuss the ongoing problems at the VA and the poor treatment of our nation’s treasured heroes, our veterans. We further discussed the troubling situation surrounding the release of Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl.

Our Economic Recovery Tour relies on the experiences of businesses small and large, with varied interests. During our tour of Wolfeboro and Conway, we were fortunate to visit nearly 20 different businesses, all with unique backgrounds and challenges. One distressing point we heard frequently was that given the current business climate, they would not start their business today. Our entrepreneurial spirit is being crushed under an oppressive regulatory regime. We can do better than this!

The last stop of our day in North Conway was lunch at the Gibson Center for Seniors. Team Guinta met with dozens of seniors to discuss the preservation of Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

On Wednesday the Team traveled to the Lakes Region Community College where we discussed the important work the job training and workforce development schools. These schools can be enormously helpful to students looking for cost effective ways to develop the tools needed to learn a trade and begin a career. Additionally, this stop highlighted the importance of job training and the role it can play when individuals become structurally unemployed after months and years of looking for work. Hope to see you out on the trail!
