MANCHESTER - Today, the Brown campaign launched an online petition telling “Senator Shaheen and President Obama that their pro-amnesty policies are hurting this country.” The petition’s online portal is complete with a shareable GIF of Senator Shaheen embracing the President after a campaign event in 2012.
Both the petition and GIF can be viewed by clicking HERE.
“We’re encouraging the people of New Hampshire to let Senator Shaheen know she is wrong on immigration and that her policies are hurting our state,” said Colin Reed, campaign manager for Scott Brown. “By voting with President Obama 99 percent of the time and supporting his pro-amnesty policies, Senator Shaheen has contributed to the crisis on the southern border, and now the people of New Hampshire have a chance to let her know she’s wrong.”
During the last two days, the Brown campaign has released both a television and radio ad highlighting Senator Shaheen’s weak position on immigration. As a Senator, she has twice voted against a border fence, voted for the 2013 amnesty bill and has supported the DREAM Act.
Scott Brown’s record on immigration stands in stark contrast to Jeanne Shaheen’s. Brown has voted against the DREAM act, voted in favor of a border fence and voted against driver’s licenses and in-state tuition for illegal immigrants.
