Guinta For Congress (CD1) - On this Five Year Anniversary, will the Congresswoman Apologize?

Five years ago today, President Obama held a town hall meeting in Portsmouth, NH regarding health care and the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.  During the town hall meeting he said "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.  If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan."

You can see the clip HERE.

This statement, rated by Politifact as the "Lie of the Year" in 2013, was also trumpeted by our current Representative, Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter.  Since that time, thousands of Granite Staters have been forced off their health care plan, and thousands more have lost their doctors and cannot be treated at the hospital of their choice.

Jay Ruais, Campaign Manager for Frank Guinta released the following statement:

"Last year, President Obama apologized to Americans for repeatedly making this statement.  As of today, Congresswoman Shea-Porter has taken zero responsibility for her part in spreading this falsehood when she said, 'If you like your coverage, you can keep it. If you have Medicare or TRICARE, you will keep it. If you have insurance through your employer, you will keep it.'  Will she finally show some leadership and apologize to Granite Staters for making this grossly inaccurate claim?"
