Yesterday it was announced that Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter had received an endorsement from a Super PAC that would begin promoting her candidacy in the District.
As a liberal activist and as a Congresswoman, Shea-Porter has bemoaned the influence of money in politics. However, she has refused to denounce the efforts of the Super PACs that have been airdropped into New Hampshire to save her candidacy.
Jay Ruais, Campaign Manager for Frank Guinta, released the following statement:
"If the Congresswoman refuses to denounce this Super PAC's effort to support her candidacy, she will have proven herself a typical politician desperate to save her political career. You can't have it both ways, Congresswoman. Instead of letting the big money interests of her friends run her campaign, she should engage her constituents and accept our challenge to hold a town hall meeting in every county in the District, just as Frank Guinta did when he was a member of Congress.”
