Dear Fellow Patriot,
There is no easy way to say this.
Gun owners in New Hampshire are facing one of the most serious threats since President Barack Obama launched his war on your right to bear arms nearly two years ago.
But this threat isn't coming from the Democrats — we've known all along that Senator Jeanne Shaheen is in the tank for Barack Obama's anti-gun agenda.
This threat is from Massachusetts carpetbagger, Scott Brown, a Republican who has supported gun control his entire career.
You see, sometimes folks assume that just because a politician is a Republican that he is a solid supporter of the Second Amendment.
I hope you don't make that mistake.
Sadly, Scott Brown has gone out of his way to prove that some Republicans do not support the Second Amendment.
And now that he's moved to New Hampshire in hopes of returning to power, he's threatening to bring his support for Massachusetts-style gun control with him.
Make no mistake, Scott Brown is an open supporter of gun control!
As a U.S. Senator in Massachusetts, Scott Brown was one of the loudest voices for passing new anti-gun laws.
In fact, he was the first Senator to come out swinging for the President's gun control agenda in December of 2012.1
Had Brown not been booted from office, experts say he was certain to vote for and support Senator Harry Reid's attempts to RAM new gun control into law any way he could.
And it makes sense.
Scott Brown's public positions when it comes to specific gun control proposals are no different than those of radical anti-gun Democrats like Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY).
Check out Brown's anti-gun positions and record for yourself:
*** Scott Brown supports the so-called "assault weapons" ban that would outlaw thousands of ordinary semi-automatic firearms.1 He even voted for a permanent "assault weapons" ban in the Massachusetts Senate.2
*** Scott Brown supports expanded background check and gun registration schemes, and cracking down on lawful private gun sales!3
*** Scott Brown supports "lock-up-your-safety" government-mandated trigger-lock requirements.3
*** Scott Brown believes you should be forced to earn a government-issued permission slip before you're even able to own or possess a firearm.3
*** Scott Brown supports draconian "mental health" reporting requirements aimed at stripping law-abiding citizens of their gun rights without due process, at the whim of a shrink.1 Over 175,000 veterans already have lost their Second Amendment rights this way!4
Making matters worse, Scott Brown's support for gun control has even earned him the past endorsement of billionaire ex-Mayor Michael Bloomberg — who is now a savage anti-gun lobbyist.5
Scott Brown said he was "proud" to have Bloomberg's past endorsement.5
Unfortunately, not much has changed for Scott Brown.
Scott Brown is still showing every indication that he'll continue being the loudest Republican voice for gun control if elected back to the Senate.
So it comes as no surprise that Scott Brown refused to return his National Association for Gun Rights Federal Candidate Survey.
He's not just hiding his anti-gun record, he's flaunting it for everyone to see.
Fortunately, there is some good news.
Republican candidate, and New Hampshire's own former U.S. Senator Bob Smith, has made it clear he'll stand up against all of Barack Obama's anti-gun agenda — not just parts of it.
The last time Bob Smith was in the U.S. Senate he even had the guts to vote against the anti-gun Brady Bill, recognizing it as a back door gun registration scheme!
Even better, Bob Smith returned his National Association for Gun Rights Federal Candidate Survey 100% pro-gun, and enthusiastically promised to continue his pro-gun record.
Bob Smith promised to fight to:
*** Restore the Second Amendment rights of all Americans by working to abolish every unconstitutional federal gun law currently on the books;
*** Defeat the United Nations' "Small Arms Treaty." Bob Smith opposes ALL attempts by the United Nations to regulate firearms, and pledges to fight to cut taxpayer funding propping up the U.N.'s anti-gun agenda;
*** Block all efforts by the Federal Government to further infringe on the gun rights of the people of the state of New Hampshire;
*** Stop any attempt by Barack Obama or Dianne Feinstein to reinstate the so-called "assault weapons ban" aimed at banning as many ordinary semi-automatic firearms as possible;
*** Block a National Gun Registry. Bob Smith has fought against each and every one of the gun-grabbers schemes to dump the names of gun owners into a national gun registry.
The contrast between Scott Brown and Bob Smith couldn't be more stark.
And so is the contrast between Bob Smith and State Senator Jim Rubens, who also refused to return his candidate survey.
But I can't stress enough the danger Republicans like Scott Brown pose when they so openly profess their support for the radical gun-grabbers and their anti-gun agenda.
This poor behavior provides the "bi-partisan" cover Harry Reid needs to push these gun control proposals.
Scott Brown's anti-gun positions only encourage other Republican Senators — like Kelly Ayotte — who have flirted with gun control in the past to betray us too.
How can gun owners ever expect to defeat Barack Obama and his anti-gun agenda, when Republicans like Scott Brown have his back?
If you agree that it's unacceptable for a Republican to support gun control, I hope you'll take action right away:
1.) Thank Republican candidate and former New Hampshire U.S. Senator Bob Smith for pledging his 100% support and leadership for your right to keep and bear arms;
2.) Give anti-gun former Massachusetts U.S. Senator Scott Brown an earful! Insist he apologize for his anti-gun past and urge him to abandon his support for gun control at once.
Please act today!
