Rubens For US Senate - Rubens Receives An A Rating from Gun Owners of New Hampshire

Gun Owners of New Hampshire (GO-NH), the local affiliate of the National Rifle Association, issued its candidate ratings for the U.S. Senate race.  GO-NH gave Jim Rubens an "A".

GO-NH stated among the reasons for the rating, "Dedicated 2nd Amendment issues page.  Strong pro-freedom, pro-Second Amendment support statements, inclusive of pledges to support and oppose specific issues."  GONH also said "Bravo" to Rubens "for being willing to go on the record by completing a 2014 Federal Candidate Questionnaire, and providing this important information too our members."

In complimenting JimRubens.com, GO-NH states, "Another refreshing web site was Jim Rubens'. ...a full page dedicated to Jim's position on second amendment issues.  Jim's 2nd Amendment Rights page is straightforward and clearly states his 2nd amendment support, with pledges to support national reciprocity, a citizen's right to defend themselves anywhere they have a right to be, and an individual's right to keep and bear arms regardless of where they live."

Regarding Jim's visit to GO-NH in March, "Jim Rubens visit was excellent as well. Jim was the newer face to some in the room, but not to those who knew him when he served in the NH State Senate. Jim spoke with insight on a range of issues, with focused remarks regarding the importance of a strong second amendment. Jim is a gun owner and  NRA/GO-NH member, so although Q&A in front of a GO-NH meeting can be tough on a candidate, Jim was at ease, and the hardball questions were more about getting to know Jim Rubens, and less about doubting his answers."

Jim Rubens' "A" rating from the National Rifle Association was recognized in the GO-NH summary of the significance of the rating they gave:

An "A" rating is no small thing, and indicates typically at a minimum, that while in office the candidate has voted the right way 100% of the time on the critical issues. So for Jim Rubens, this means that his Questionnaire was submitted with 100% pro GO-NH positions, and that during his 4 years in the NH State Senate, his voting record on second amendment issues was aligned with GO-NH 100% of the time."
