SCOTT BROWN KICKS OFF SERIES OF TOWN HALL MEETINGS TITLED, "NEW HAMPSHIRE SPEAKS"

First Meeting To Focus on Illegal Immigration & Border Crisis

MANCHESTER Today, Scott Brown announced "New Hampshire Speaks," a series of town hall events that will take place across the Granite State. The campaign also released a new web video featuring Brown addressing the immigration crisis at a meet and greet last week.

Each “New Hampshire Speaks” meeting will feature Brown discussing the issues that are on the minds of people in New Hampshire, with an emphasis on a particular topic. The first town hall be focused on illegal immigration and the ongoing crisis at the border, and will take place this Tuesday in Salem. The meetings will include an open question and answer session with Scott Brown.

"Town hall meetings are an essential part of the New Hampshire political process," said Brown.  "Granite State voters expect candidates running for office to look them in the eye and engage them directly on the important issues of the day. These unfiltered conversations give voters a chance to hear from their would-be representatives on a wide variety of topics, and I’m looking forward to listening and learning from the people of New Hampshire.”

Scott Brown: We have to once and for all stop what’s happening at the border

We need to secure our border. Period.

And then we can work on all the other things we’re talking about right now, fixing loopholes, and all that. You need to go right to the heart of the actual problem.

And what I have always said is we need to treat these young people with compassion but then we need to actually get them home to their country of origin.

I believe we are a nation of laws and I would encourage everybody to begin to follow the law.

And Senator Shaheen and President Obama have been supporting the porous border, not enforcing our laws, proposing amnesty, supporting amnesty policies, and it’s wrong, and we have to stop it.
