DURHAM - Today, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul endorsed Scott Brown at the University of New Hampshire among students and local supporters. On the heels of Tuesday's Republican primary, Paul underscored Brown's independent streak and proven record as a problem solver.
"Scott Brown is famous for his opposition to Obamacare, we need to send him back to Washington to repeal Obamacare," said Senator Paul. "It is time for New Hampshire to unite around Scott."
The rally was attended by over 100 students and supporters, including University of New Hampshire Student Body President and State Representative Joe Sweeney (R-Salem). Senator Paul highlighted the importance of party unity to steer Brown toward victory in November and send a voice to Washington that will restore New Hampshire's individual freedoms, repeal Obamacare and balance the federal budget.
“I am grateful to be endorsed by Senator Rand Paul and pleased to welcome him back to our great state," said Brown. Senator Paul and I both know that young people, who have a real stake in this election, are worried about finding good jobs after college, and they see the Obama-Shaheen policies aren't working for them or anyone else."
