BROWN CAMPAIGN LAUNCHES PETITION: DON'T COME HOME UNTIL AMERICA IS SAFE
MANCHESTER - As a follow-up to the letter Scott Brown sent yesterday to Jeanne Shaheen, the Brown campaign launched an online petition asking Shaheen to stay in Washington until passing bills to secure our border from homegrown terrorism.
“Senator Shaheen should not leave Washington before making real progress to secure the border and prevent American-ISIS fighters from returning home to the United States where they intend to do harm to others,” said Colin Reed, campaign manager for Scott Brown. “As the senior senator, it is time for Senator Shaheen to take this opportunity to stand with the people of New Hampshire, not with President Obama and his failed policies that she loyally supports 99 percent of the time."
This petition reasserts requests from Scott Brown's letter, asking for Shaheen to pass legislation to secure the border and prevent American-ISIS fighters from returning home. In the letter, Brown writes about the heightened concerns of our porous border in light of recent terrorist threats, saying "If anyone (including ISIS) can cross our borders at any time, with anything in their possession, then Washington has no control over our nation's security from terrorist attack."
Senator Shaheen is a member of the Armed Services and Foreign Relations Committee and has a record of supporting President Obama and his failed polices 99 percent of the time.Click here to view the petition.
