MANCHESTER - Today, former U.S. Senators John E. Sununu and Judd Gregg released the following statements endorsing Scott Brown:
"Scott Brown is a leader and problem solver who will work to restore fiscal responsibility, balance the budget and pass pro-growth policies to get our economy back on track. Jeanne Shaheen promised to be an independent voice for New Hampshire, but she went to Washington and broke her word by blindly supporting President Obama and voting with him 99 percent of the time. Granite Staters are ready for a new senator who will serve as a check and balance on the Obama Administration instead of a rubber stamp for the president’s failed policies. Scott Brown will put New Hampshire first and fight to create jobs, restore America’s standing in the world and return fiscal sanity to our government," said Sununu.
"As a country, we are faced with a soaring national debt, record federal spending and fewer jobs. We have an opportunity here in New Hampshire to help right the ship by electing Scott Brown to the U.S. Senate. Scott is advocating for a balanced budget to help get our fiscal house in order. He opposes Obamacare which has cost thousands of New Hampshire citizens their preferred insurance and is a major impediment to our economic recovery. He will fight, as he always has, to repeal the law and replace it with a stronger more effective health care system which is critical to the well-being of our people and our economy, especially small business." said Gregg.
