MESSAGE TO THE MEDIA: WE MISSED YOU!
Dear Members of the Media:
The Confederate Railroad Freedom Concert held on Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Rochester Fairgrounds, Rochester, NH was a HUGE SUCCESS – but you wouldn’t know it from the media’s perspective!
The concert, presented by Friends of Senator Bob Smith, had the biggest audience not seen all year in the state of New Hampshire – reported to be 800 to 1,000 people in attendance throughout the day’s event. There were two local band favorites: Next of Kin and The Natalie Turgeon Band and national, well-known country music superstars Confederate Railroad.
The LARGEST EVENT OF ITS KIND this year in NH and the only thing missing: The Media.
“The media was missed,” said Di Lothrop, Smith campaign media advisor. “We invited them to cover the event but it appears they underestimated the popularity of Senator Bob Smith and they missed a great opportunity to see first-hand the power of the Smith Campaign.”
Perhaps the media should take a break from covering the establishment-favorite candidate and cover a true grass roots – and growing – campaign. The Primary isn’t over yet!
