Guinta For Congress (CD1) - Shea-Porter Votes Against New Hampshire's Middle Class

Shea-Porter Opposes an all of the above Energy Approach

MANCHESTER – Last night, Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter voted against a piece of bipartisan job-creating energy legislation.

H.R. 2, the American Energy Solutions for Lower Costs and More American Jobs Act, would establish energy independence, lower the cost of energy for New Hampshire families, and create and sustain more secure and well-paying jobs. This commonsense energy package passed the House of Representatives with Carol Shea-Porter and Nancy Pelosi voting no.

Frank Guinta released the following statement:

"Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter is more concerned with keeping her D.C. and California friends happy than creating jobs and lowering energy costs for Granite Staters. She claims to favor an all of the above energy approach, but when it comes to weaning ourselves off of Middle-East oil, building the Keystone Pipeline, and creating tens of thousands of good, middle class jobs, she is in Nancy Pelosi's pocket. The day President Obama took office in 2008, the price of a gallon of gas was $1.84.
Six years of Carol Shea-Porter, Nancy Pelosi, and Barack Obama have led to fewer jobs and higher gas prices. "
