CONCORD - Today, Scott Brown canoed on the Contoocook River with Merrimack County Sheriff Scott Hilliard to enjoy another element of New Hampshire’s natural beauty.
“New Hampshire has so much to offer and I appreciate the opportunity to canoe the river with Sheriff Hilliard in the final days of summer,” said Brown. “The natural beauty of our state has something to offer for everyone, ranging from the heights of Mt. Washington to the Seacoast beaches, and I encourage everyone to get out and enjoy the nice weather and support our local economy."
The Contoocook River runs 71 miles long, flowing from Penacook to the Contoocook Lake on the Jaffrey/Rindge border.
