NHDP - NHDP Statement on the Nashua Telegraph's Decision Not to Endorse Either Candidate in the GOP Gubernatorial Primary

Manchester, NH-- New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley released the following statement on the Nashua Telegraph editorial board's decision not to endorse either candidate in the Republican Gubernatorial primary:
“The Nashua Telegraph editorial board's non-endorsement in the GOP gubernatorial primary represents a major blow for failed CEO Walt Havenstein. The Telegraph editorial board declined to endorse conservative activist Andrew Hemingway or failed CEO Walt Havenstein because neither could offer a compelling reason that would 'justify removing' Governor Hassan, reinforcing her strong record of working across party lines to get things done for New Hampshire's people, businesses and economy."
"The hometown paper of BAE Systems added that they were 'not convinced' that Havenstein has the experience that New Hampshire needs, nor was the paper impressed by his so-called economic 'plan', which uses misleading jobs numbers and would cause a $90 million hole in the state budget to give tax breaks to big businesses."
“The Telegraph's non-endorsement only reconfirms that Granite Staters support Governor Hassan's bipartisan problem-solving that's moving New Hampshire forward and have no interest in Havenstein's anti-middle class Koch Brothers agenda that would run New Hampshire's economy into the ground just like he did to SAIC."
