NH GOP - FACT CHECK: HASSAN VOTED AGAINST LAW PROHIBITING SANCTUARY CITIES

PolitiFact.com Rates Accurate NHGOP Claim Hassan Voted Against Bill To Prohibit NH Sanctuary Cities
Concord – New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Jennifer Horn today released the following statement regarding PolitiFact.com stating the claim was “accurate” that Maggie Hassan voted against a bill that would have prohibited sanctuary cities in New Hampshire:

“Governor Hassan’s opposition to legislation that would penalize sanctuary cities clearly demonstrates her willingness to put political considerations ahead of public safety concerns. Illegal immigrants who commit violent crimes in our country need to be arrested and immediately deported, and local officials should not provide these convicted criminals with safe haven by promoting policies that ignore federal law. The governor’s support for sanctuary cities shows how out-of-touch and extreme her views are with New Hampshire’s commonsense values.”
