NH Free State Project Announces Antiwar’s Scott Horton for Liberty Forum 2015

The Free State Project’s 8th annual Liberty Forum’s theme is Moved by Liberty, and includes speeches by activist Sheriff Mack and CEO of Overstock, Patrick Byrne  


February 16, 2015 – Manchester, NH – Today the Free State Project announced Scott Horton, radio show host and editor of Antiwar.com, will be speaking at Liberty Forum, New Hampshire’s premiere liberty conference. Liberty Forum’s cutting edge topics run the gamut from “Non-Violent Communications” to crypto-currencies like ziftyrCOIN and Bitcoin. This four-day conference will be held March 5-8, 2015 at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Manchester.


Thursday, March 5th kicks off with a dinner reception followed by entertainment provided by Nick Gillespie, editor in chief of Reason.com and Reason TV, the online platforms of Reason, the libertarian magazine of "Free Minds and Free Markets." Also on Thursday is a tour of the State House in Concord, and a late night improv session. Several independent media outlets, including nationally syndicated Free Talk Live, will be broadcasting throughout the conference, starting on Thursday night.  


Friday, March 6th, the keynote speaker is award-winning journalist Ben Swann. In 2012, Swann became the first journalist in the nation to confront President Barack Obama directly in an interview about the Constitutionality of his “kill list.” Friday also sees fascinating talks on a variety of topics, including: Reforming Education; Entrepreneurship; Scott Horton’s talk on “Against the Terror War;” and New Hampshire Magazine’s editor, Rick Broussard, will give a talk on “How NH Invented the Modern World: A Tourist’s Guide.”


Saturday, March 7th the keynote speaker is Patrick Byrne, CEO of Overstock.com, the world’s first large retailer to start accepting Bitcoin payments. Byrne holds a PhD in Philosophy from Stanford University, and received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Asian Studies at Dartmouth College. He frequently guest lectures on Internet commerce, capital markets, Wall Street practices, education, leadership and ethics.


On Saturday, attendees can also learn more about: Marijuana Policy; Pacifism; Handling Police Encounters; NH in 2035; and more. Sheriff Mack, who received national attention for prevailing in a lawsuit against the federal government ruling that portions of the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act were unconstitutional will give a talk: “Are You a David?” Lyn Ulbricht, mother of Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht, will speak about his recent conviction.


Sunday, March 8th, author and founder of Liberty.me Jeffrey Tucker will speak at the closing brunch ceremony. Tucker is a distinguished fellow of the Foundation for Economic Education where he consults on technology and editorial matters, a research fellow of the Acton Institute, and the editor of Laissez Faire Books. Tucker has authored five books, 150 introductions to books, and many thousands of articles.
