NHDP - ICYMI: Guests on NHPR’s “The Exchange” Highlight Blowback from Kelly Ayotte’s Reckless Iran Letter

 

 

Josh Rogers: “This [Iran letter] was something that leadership in the Republican Senate, they went for this and [Ayotte] tends to go along with them.”
 

Concord, N.H. – During a segment on “Vice Presidential Politics,” guests on NHPR’s “The Exchange” highlighted the blowback from Kelly Ayotte’s decision to sign a letter to the leaders of Iran undermining U.S. foreign policy.
 
NHPR’s Josh Rogers noted, “This issue isn’t going to go away,” adding that some Republicans who signed the letter like John McCain have already started backtracking, and other Republicans like Bob Corker who refused to sign the letter have spoken out in opposition.  
 
On the issue of why Kelly Ayotte signed the discredited letter while other Republican’s like Maine’s Susan Collins refused, Rogers said, “This was something that leadership in the Republican Senate, they went for this and she tends to go along with them.”
