WASHINGTON. D.C. – Congressman Frank Guinta today announced a roundtable with fishing advocates, marine biologists, fishermen, local officials and other stakeholders on Friday to discuss the issues and challenges currently facing New Hampshire’s fishing industry.
“For 400 years, New Hampshire’s fishing industry has helped sustain our local economy - providing thousands of steady jobs and millions in economic opportunities. Unfortunately, our state’s fishermen face numerous challenges today that threaten this historic industry, including catch quotas, increased coasts, government restrictions and more. This fishing roundtable provides me the opportunity to discuss firsthand with those affected the long list of challenges they face and solutions to strengthen this vital industry.”
The NH-01 Fishing Roundtable is invite only.
