NH DOS - Madbury Fatal Fire Investigation

MADBURY – New Hampshire State Fire Marshal J. William Degnan, Madbury Fire Chief Thomas Perley, and Madbury Police Chief Joseph McGann, announce a fatal fire investigation at Mast Road Sand and Gravel, located at 60 Pudding Hill Road in the town of Madbury, NH.

 

The Madbury Police and Fire Departments were dispatched at approximately 6:00am this morning to the above address for a reported vehicle fire. Upon arrival, responding units discovered a deceased male occupant inside the vehicle.  As a result of the preliminary investigation, the NH State Medical Examiner’s Office has positively identified the victim as 64-year-old Louis Mroz of Madbury.  The cause and manner of death is pending the results of laboratory tests being conducted by the NH State Medical Examiner’s Office.

 

The investigation is still active and ongoing by investigators with the NH State Fire Marshal’s Office and members of the Madbury Police and Fire Departments.  Additional assistance at the scene was also provided by New Hampshire State Police – Troop A.
