Sponsor Third Business Roundtable in the Presidential Candidate Series
CONCORD—The New Hampshire House Business Caucus, in partnership with the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, will host its third Business Roundtable with a potential candidate for the office of President on Thursday, May 21, at 8 am at The Draft restaurant, 67 South Main Street, in Concord. The featured speaker, and likely candidate, will be former Governor of Florida, Jeb Bush.
“The interest level is strong and continues to build as we invite local business owners and state representatives to join us and hear the about the candidates’ specific ideas for improving the business climate and economy,” said New Hampshire House Business Caucus founder and Chair, Rep. Laurie Sanborn.
“Business leaders want to be engaged and informed about the political process and the candidates, and these Business Roundtables provide a perfect opportunity to our members,” said Tim Sink, President of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce.
Jeb Bush was the first Republican governor ever elected to two terms in Florida, serving from 1999 through 2007. During his tenure, Governor Bush cut nearly $20 billion in taxes, vetoed more than $2.3 billion in earmarks, put over $8 billion into the state’s rainy day fund, overhauled the state’s failing education system, and helped to create a strong economy with 1.3 million new jobs. After he left office, Jeb returned to the private sector, where he reestablished his career as a successful businessman, entrepreneur and investor.
The event is free, but space is limited and RSVPs are required by May18, 2015.
