NHDP - Every N.H. Republican Senator Votes for Big Business Tax Giveaways Instead of Substance Misuse Treatment

Concord, N.H. – New Hampshire Democratic Party Press Secretary Aaron Jacobs released the following statement after every New Hampshire Republican Senator voted to prioritize big business tax giveaways over funding for substance misuse treatment:
“After Senators Molly Kelly and Andrew Hosmer delivered impassioned pleas for the New Hampshire Senate to do everything possible to combat the state’s substance misuse epidemic, every single Republican Senator voted for tax giveaways for big, out-of-state businesses instead of restoring the Governor’s responsible funding for substance misuse treatment.”
“While Republicans said on the Senate floor that they wished they could address the state’s substance misuse challenges, the fact is that each Republican Senator made the choice not to do more to address one of the most pressing challenges facing the health and well-being of New Hampshire’s people and economy.”
