Senate Advances Ex-Im Bank
 

Reauthorization votes are typically dull affairs. But this year’s fight over the Export-Import Bank’s reauthorization is anything but. On Sunday, the Senate voted 67-26 to advance a plan to reauthorize the Export-Import Bank, expired since the end of June. For most of its history, the Export-Import Bank has directed most of its benefits to a handful of large, politically connected firms.
