NH Sen. Bradley praises Hike Safe program success

Concord, NH – New Hampshire Fish and Game says they have sold more than 2,500 Hike Safe cards, generating more than $66,000 in revenue since the program began in January.

Senator Jeb Bradley, who was the lead Senate sponsor on the legislation establishing the Hike Safe card, released the following statement in light of the program’s success.

“In a state where the mountains are an incredible resource for family recreation, tourism, and outdoor enthusiasts from across the globe and as an avid hiker myself who was among the first to purchase a hike safe card, I am encouraged to see the Hike Safe card program’s success in New Hampshire since it launched in January of this year.

“Purchasing this voluntary card aims to protect hikers from being liable for the cost of search and rescue efforts in case of emergency and provides the means for the state to perform other costly rescues when needed,” said Senator Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro).

“I look forward to the Hike Safe program’s continued success in the state of New Hampshire.”
